Heaven for bread lovers: If it’s carb day then make it worthwhile with some Sonoma baked treats.
Sonoma bakeries double as retail outlets, they’re dotted across Sydney so that makes it very easy to sample some of the best artisanal baked goods in store and to takeaway – if you love bread, you have got to try Sonomas.
The Sonoma cafes plate up the usual cafe food, the feature being the bread of course.
Weighing in at 1.4 kilos is the impressive Sonoma miche, if you want it sliced you’ll have to do it yourself however there is a sliced version called the Sonoma Mission available that is sold bagged. The crust tastes perfectly caramelised, a result of being baked in a wood-fired oven. The sourdough interior is addictively chewy, I love its fermented taste and it’s so so good simply on its own or with your favourite spread.
MsBrulee dined as guests of Sonoma Cafe. Opinions however are my own.
