Otto Ristorante, Woolloomooloo

Thanks to Zomato, we got to fill ourselves with some heartwarming Italian food and wine

We seldom attend Zomato meetups, only because they tend to take place on weekdays. However we found the time to make it to this one.

Read on for the review of the tasting:

Prosciutto, stracciatella, figs, balsamic

Risotto aged Acquerello rice, spinach, cavolo nero, goat’s cheese entree $26 main $36

Ash cannot eat pork so he’s offered this lurid green spinach and kale risotto. I find the rice is cooked very well. Despite how green it looks, you actually cannot taste the vegetables.

Spaghetti all’Aragosta – spaghetti, 650g Tasmanian crayfish, cherry tomatoes, chilli, garlic, brandy napolitana sauce and baby basil $110

If we weren’t attending a tasting session, I’d probably have an entire bowl of this delicious pasta, made infinitely more indulgent with the addition of an entire crayfish. The head is included purely for aesthetic purposes and I just adore it

Coconut panna cotta, crumble, coconut gelato

This is the dessert for coconut lovers. All textures of coconut are lovingly assembled together – toasted, in creamy gelato, crunchy, smooth and creamy  - it’s got it all.

MsBrulee dined as guests of Otto Ristorante. Opinions however are my own
