My review of Lumi Bar & Dining’s 8 course lunch degustation

The cuisine at Lumi is a well-thought out fusion of Japanese and Italian. There is the choice of 3 courses, 5 courses and 8 courses. We went with the 8 course degustation because we fancy and that will set you back $105pp

Agnolotti mushroom, rye dashi is a clear highlight, I could definitely eat an entire plate’s worth of this hearty, mushroom pasta.

In summary, every dish, main and dessert was enjoyable, plated artfully and we felt looked after very well.

Italian version of chawanmushi with tomato water 

Rye and spelt sourdough brioche with burnt butter mascarpone 

While the rye and spelt sourdough brioche is gorgeous, and the mascarpone spreads beautifully onto it – Just a range of seeded sourdough and straight simple butter thanks, I miss having that option in fine dining restaurants.
