There’s style in these Mediterranean share plates

Henrys stands out on this strip of eateries in Cronulla. For one, it’s a restaurant nestled amongst half a dozen other cafes and in a sense is far ‘nicer’ than your regular lunch out. This is evidenced in the food like Crispy Flathead tacos live up to their name and more. Battered flathead are ultra crispy served in a soft taco shell accompanied with Sriracha and raw onions for piquantness.

The raw dishes are superb Wagyu beef tartare, sesame, ginger and eschallot sauce, seaweed, dry egg yolk and Spicy yellowfin tuna poke, nori, sushi rice, ponzu tapioca you’ve got to admire the clever substitution of caviar with tapioca – it’s indistinguishable from the real thing.

A special of the day are Charcoal lamb cutlets and labne of which the lamb is cooked beautifully, fat is rendered down just enough, the cutlets are caramelised and the end of the dish is devoured tragically too soon.
