Dinners out are not just for the weekends.
At COOH the focus is on organic wholesome food and you can definitely indulge your appetite at this all day restaurant. Now I’d like to highlight the gorgeous dinner menu available from Tuesday to Saturday from 6pm.
The seafood starters are flavourful and varied. Delicate pieces of Spiced seared tuna are coated in a middle-eastern spice blend. The beetroot Cured ocean trout with its scarlet-red hue is so fresh with orange slices and creme fraiche. Or perhaps the plump Harvey Bay scallops and pea puree is more your kind of dish.
Beef lovers will find lots to enjoy in the 250g eye fillet sous vide to medium rare with red wine jus accompanied with sweet truss tomatoes roasted on the vine. For something lighter, packed with omega 3s yet delightful to eat the Crispy skin ocean trout with sweet potato puree, citrus herb salad & beurre blanc hits the spot. Along with a serve of Hand cut Sweet Potato Chips with vegan aioli that could have me fooled because it tasted like the real deal.
Of all four desserts the Vegan Double Caramel Ice cream sandwich with brownie crumble was the standout. Closely followed by the Coconut Semi Freddo, caramelised pineapple and coconut macadamia crumb
